#025 | The Book of Regrets

Weekly newsletter on Natural Language Processing (#NLP365), Entrepreneurship, and Life Design content!

Hey friends,

I finally picked up my first fiction book this year. It’s called the Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

So far, it has been quite enjoyable!

It’s a story that surrounds the idea that there’s this library between life and death that people usually go through. In this library, there are countless number of books, all in green, that represents the countless alternatives of which your life could have turn out based on the countless big or small decisions you have made.

There’s a special book, in grey, called The Book of Regrets, which as the name suggested, consists of all the big and small regrets you have throughout your life. For each regret, you can live out one of the many green books to see how your life would have been if you have gone the other way.

Anyhow, a great read so far and do check it out. But I was SOOOO pumped when I found out about The Book of Regrets.

In life, you want to have as few regrets as possible! At least the big ones…

Go out there and chase your dreams. Don’t settle for anything less. I can guaranteed you that you have much rather fail trying than having the what-if feeling of regrets as time passes you and it’s too late.

As said in one of Seneca’s work, you are dying daily. Past days / months / years are now in the hands of death. So do what you desire now, don’t wait around as life is too short to waste around with regrets.

P.S. It’s almost the end of June, which means we are approaching the end of the 1st half of 2021. I have done a lot of reflections lately and looking to make some adjustments heading into the 2nd half of 2021, which includes what I want to do with this weekly newsletters so stay tuned :)

This week I am reading:

  1. Effortless (28th May - In Progress)

  2. Peak (21st June - 27th June)

Total: 39 / 26 books | 3 / 26 level 4 notes | 4 / 12 actions
