Hey friends,

We are all unique.

Our life’s task is to grow that uniqueness and express it to the world.

To learn who we are and reconnect with our inner self throughout our life time.

Here are some useful principles from The Daily Laws by Robert Greene that can help:

  1. Pay attention toward activities and subjects that fit your natural energy… how do you know? There will be obvious signs… you will feel like you have unlimited energy for that activity / subject… you will be unusually curious… you will have a strong bias towards actions.. you will feel deeply connected to it… explore different activities and don’t stop until you found it; when you do, go all-in into it!

    1. Think about your childhood obsession and reconnect with it. Children tends to know exactly what they like and don’t like from an early age… plus these early inclinations are pure and has not been infected by external forces yet (parents / societies / friends etc…)

    2. To explore courageously, you must first have a strong base that brings you confidence. To have a strong base is to focus on mastering things that you are good at first. As you master things you are good at, you will have a stronger base of confidence, which would then allow you to expand outward and explore. When in doubt, always go back to your root and rebuild

    3. Learn from your heroes… anyone who affects you in an emotional deep level

  2. Embrace your uniqueness; firstly, your uniqueness is likely to be a combination of different fields that excites you and so aim to bring these things together to illustrate your uniqueness; secondly, have the power to assert your uniqueness as the world will be constantly try to suppress it; silence the noise of the outer world

  3. Confront your personal obstacles and limitations; they are designed for you to break through and become a stronger version. If you run away from it, you will never break out of it. Next time you face an obstacle or setback, move towards it and grow. To go the extra mile, actively put yourself in positions where your adversity is being tested, your skills are being build up, and your sense of purpose is getting clearer

  4. Be comfortable with change… that means not holding on to past identities that lock you into certain pathways. As you learn more about yourself, even if you have early inclinations, you should aim to adapt and move towards fully owning your life’s task… change is inevitable and you should learn to be highly adaptive

    1. Be able to distinguish your life’s task from false paths. A false path is whenever we are doing something for the wrong reasons. Be honest with yourself and identify false paths but more importantly, once you do, have the courageous to rebel against external forces and move back towards the true path (life’s task)

  5. Trust the process and have faith and patience; focus on small inner changes and embrace the slow accumulation of knowledge and skills everyday… do this and over time, they will be the foundation for the large change that people see
