Mystery Gift Box #013 | How to navigate the social game as a noob

The best hidden gems I've found; interesting ideas and concepts, thought-provoking questions, mind-blowing books/podcasts, cool animes/films, and other mysteries ❤️

Hey friends,

More often than not, you are likely to be in a social game of power dynamic.

And early on in your journey, you are most likely going to be the person with less control…

The question then is how can you still successfully navigate the journey?

Again, I have summarised Robert Greene’s work on this topic… I resonate with some principles and disagree with others; I have only included the ones I resonate with / want to adopt more of :)

  1. Never outshine the master; it only inspire fear and insecurity

  2. Reputation is important; it behaves like a multiplier…

  3. Seem dumber than you are…

  4. You have the power to define your own character and you can make it powerful — you are an artist creating yourself

  5. The ability to express admiration of others is rare these days

  6. Master your emotional responses

  7. Enter different circles of knowledge and aim to connect them together

  8. Maintain your independence

  9. Distinguish between real and false alliance

  10. Create a mystery game around you — be unpredictable
